This week my old STB was replaced and a new one was given to me. The old STB is no longer supported after this year end due to digitization. Hence all have the exchange old one with this new one.
While purchasing the STB one has to fill the CAF form and submit it along with ID/Address Proof to LCO/MSO. and after verification only the STB will be activated.
The STB:
There are 8 buttons on the STB. Led light (Red when standby, and Green when powered on)
Sensors are also present in the STB.
The connections include, Cable IN, Cable Out, RCA connectors (AV), USB slot.
Smart Card:
The smart Card slot is underneath the STB, which I personally feel is great.
There is a transparent logo on all channels. The picture quality and audio quality is great.
Channel List:
The channel list can be accessed by pressing the OK button.
EPG:
The EPG is great, it takes a while for all the data to come up. Some channels do not have EPG.
Menu:
Can play video, music and images if USB is inserted.
Also shows can be recorded by pressing the record button.
