Indicating support to net neutrality, Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha on Wednesday called for access to high speed broadband to be available to all Indians.

"Access to high speed broadband should be available to every citizen, without any restrictions," Sinha said at the 10th India Digital Summit organised by Internet and Mobile Association of India.

"There are three vectors for the transformation (in India) - internet and mobile; green technology and transportation. All of them are inter-linked and technology is the secret sauce for India's transformation," he added.

About technology and Jan Dhan Yojna programme, Sinha said: "If you look at it, it is technology which is driving most of the programmes of the government.

"The social security platform, which the government is working on is dependent on technology. Technology will be pivotal for social security, as it will enable a transparent system with digital audit trail."

Sterlite Technologies has already initiated some of the government projects like National Mission Education &
National Optical Fiber Network to create digital infrastructure meant for digital services and to increase
digital literacy in remote areas. We believe 'Digital India' is an important aspect for the growth of data
network in India
I agree, the infrastructure industry was going to lay the data cables. Where copper cabling doesn’t do the job anymore, fibre optic cables are all set to revolutionise the outlook towards technology. Fiber optic technology allows to transmit data over longer distances at high speeds. But the projects have not only been delayed but also postponed for many years. Sterlite have expertise in the optical fiber cable transmission solution.
With the products like data cables , optical fiber cable, fiber broadband and high speed internet with 100 MBPS it has emphasized on FiON, powered by Sterlite Networks Ltd, is a fibre-To- The- Home (FTTH) technology, which brings this high-speed connectivity right into your home.
