Over-crowded beds: There are a little over 900 beds at north Delhi's Hindu Rao Hospital, run by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Yet, many wards have patients sharing beds. Inside the Gynecological ward, most of the 40 odd beds are shared by two mothers and their new born babies. Sometimes, family members also nudge in.
