'Jal' in the Oscar race for Best Film category

After winning the coveted National Award for its visual effects, the Girish Malik directorial film Jal has now find place in the race for the Oscars. The film which stars Purab Kohli, Kirti Kulhari and Tannishtha Chatterjee is in the contention for nominations in the Best Film category.

The filmmaker is elated with the news and is very proud of such an achievement. Given that this is Malik's first film, the entire team and the director deserve an overwhelming applause. Also, the film has been inducted into the Oscar library.

When it was releasing that time movie grabbed lots of headline and now when it's on the race of Oscar.

But I like one comment which Aamir made about Oscar at Aap Ki Adalat he said he don't made movies for Oscar and don't cares about it. Hope good director don't affect from this if his movie got eliminated.

But until and unless American jury not relates with that movie no matter whatsoever movie will not get Oscar.

If Aamir plays Football or Baseball rather then Cricket then we might get Oscar for Lagaan.

The reason Slumdog got Oscar because of American Director, KBC ( original version is from America only ), Slums area of Mumbai which American wants to see and they liked Hero, Heroines English though they was from Slums but they were fluent in English

Read somewhere that an international agency will this time be taking care of indian oscar nomination. Don't exactly remember it was for this movie or some other one.

Don't understand why our Filmfare didn't become bigger then Oscar, after having so many awards and the bigger award of the industry Filmfare we kept eyeing on Oscar, Grammy kinda awards when they don't care us then we should not care them.

The Oscar is an academy of motion pictures. It's one of its kind. It's incomparable to Filmfare or anything.
It's like Nobel prize of movie industry ! The Academy works for months to choose the best one or even select one as nominee.

Nothing is special in this world only we humans made it special and treat it special, because they create 100 of jury to select the movie and don't allows Pan Masala companies to become leading sponsor also they colored Oscar Award in Golden made things more special.

Once a Industry make Filmfare more special those American will start talking about Filmfare what we're saying about Oscar
