'Jal' in the Oscar race for Best Film category

I think oscar is mostly about commercial Hollywood films......others are getting participation just to portray it as global event....even films are made just to win nominations for oscar.... Shekhar Kapur said that good movies are those who won nominations at film fastivals....He was never facinated by commercial oscars.....

Read somewhere that an international agency will this time be taking care of indian oscar nomination. Don't exactly remember it was for this movie or some other one.

oh...that means lobbying firms are also a part of Oscar now.....

There are many international film festivals to be considered and Oscar is for American films and other global films are also recognized.
