Kalinga TV looks to enter Odia TV news market

It’s raining news channels in the mineral-rich state of Odisha. As in 2014, which saw the launch of two high-profile channels, namely Focus Odisha and Zee Kalinga, this year too could see a spate of launches. Bhubaneswar-based Kalinga Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd (KEMPL) is one such company that is planning to venture into the news broadcast space by launching free-to-air news channel Kalinga TV. The launch is likely to take place in the next few months. KEMPL is promoted by a group of individuals associated with Bhubaneswar-based Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT).

People might think that ZEE Kalinga dropped ZEE brand and may be known as Kalinga TV. Since both are news channels only.

But what we need is proper content and presentation. I have seen naxatra, kamyab and MBC. Personally did not like the presentation.
