Korean TV producers have taken their first steps into the Indian media market.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and Korea's National IT Industry Promotion Agency recently co-hosted a booth at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Frames 2018 TV industry trade show that took place in Mumbai on March 5.
Ten Korean terrestrial and satellite broadcasters participated in the trade show, and they presented more than 50 potential new media concepts, including soap operas, game shows and cartoons.
India’s media market of around 1.3 billion people is growing at an annual rate of more than 10 percent. It's expected to be worth around USD 47.4 billion by 2021, and become one of the top 10 content markets in the world.
