MAX 2 - Launching in May-end or early-June...!!!!

Its good news for movie buffs as Multi Screen Media’s (MSM) long awaited plan to launch one more movie channel is rolling along fine. And the unveiling of the new service is likely to be once both the Indian Premier League (IPL) and elections are wrapped up and done.

Multi-system operators (MSOs) say they have been approached by the Sony Entertainment Network (led by TheOneAlliance team) to keep aside space on their networks for two channels by May-end- early-June.

Multi Screen Media readies launch of a second Hindi movie channel Only..
The working title of the second Hindi movie channel is Max 2, a source in the company revealed.

The launch will happen after the Indian Premier League (IPL), the telecast rights of which are with MSM. The IPL is MSM’s leading revenue-earning property.

Even a second sports channel could be in the pipeline if rights to more sporting properties are pocketed.[may be HD]
