Mercedez Benz India has launched its fifteenth product of the year for the Indian market, the new generation A Class. Launched in both petrol and diesel, the new class is priced at Rs 24.95 lakh and Rs 25.95 lakh(Ex-showroom, Mumbai ), respectively.
Mercedes-Benz India MD & CEO Roland Folger commented, "We couldn't have concluded the product offensive of 2015 with a better product. As the most progressive model in the compact luxury segment, the A-Class has been instrumental in making Mercedes-Benz brand more youthful. The A-Class pioneered 'compact luxury' in India and with the new A -Class we have just raised the benchmark even higher. We are confident that the new A-Class will continue to remain on top of customers' preference as it offers an unmatched package comprising dynamic sporty design, high grade selections of equipment, class leading performance, world-class infotainment system and uncompromised safety features. We made the A-Class even more appealing and ready for our dynamic new generation customers."
The A180 Sport features a 1.6 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine which produces 122hp of power at @5000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1250-4000 rpm. The A200d Sport on the other hand has a 2.2 litre 4-cylinder diesel mill produces a power of 136hp @3200-4000 rpm and 300 Nm of torque @1400-3000 rpm.
The colour palette available with the A Class is an exclusive 'Elbaite Green' colour in addition to Cirrus White, Jupiter Red, Cosmos Black and Polar Silver.
