The ministry of information and broadcasting (MIB) has ordered News Time Assam and DY 365 TV channel to stop transmission for one day for violating certain provisions of the programme code prescribed under cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995. The two news channels are facing the ministry ire for telecasting a news story on two girls and an MLA on 30 and 31 October wherein they had hinted at immoral links between them. The ministry has prohibited the transmission or re-transmission of News Time Assam and DY 365 TV channel for one day on any platform throughout India with effect from 00:01 hrs on 30 July, 2014 till 00:01 hrs 31 July, 2014
