Micromax Canvas Tab P650, a 3G tablet, will be priced at 16,500. The new tablet is aimed at strengthening Micromax presence in the Indian tablet market which is dominated by Samsung with 19 percent market share.
Market research agency IDC has recently shared the market share list of top tablet makers in India in the second quarter of 2013. Samsung leads the tablet market share with 19 percent share in India. Micromax market share in the second quarter was 8.5 percent. Karbonn is in the third position with 7.8 percent share in the Indian tablet space.
The 3G tablet offers around 5 hours of browsing time, Micromax said on Wednesday.
