Moto G4 will cram 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, the Moto G4 Plus will have 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The regular Moto G, which is expected to have a 5-inch screen as per previous reports will sport a 13-megapixel camera on the rear. The Moto G4 Plus -- with a reported 5.5-inch screen -- will on the other hand come with a 16-megapxiel rear camera. Both the phones will come with laser autofocus.

Both the Moto G4 variants will sport a 5-megapixel front-facing -- an OmniVision sensor -- camera and support NFC connectivity. It's no surprise that the new Moto G phones will ship with Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

The Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will have FullHD screen and an octa-core processor (possibly Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615) under the hood. Expect at least a 3,000mAh battery with Turbo Charging in either model. Moreover, the new Moto G phones will also sport a fingerprint scanner, a first for these phones.

Processor: The Moto G4 Plus uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. It is an octa-core processor which has four cores (ARM 53) running at 1.5GHz and the other four notching up a speed of 1.2GHz.

RAM: There are two version of the Moto G4 Plus. The more expensive one has 3GB RAM. The other one comes with 2GB RAM.

Internal storage: Similar to RAM, one has 16GB internal storage and the other has 32GB. Support for microSD card is provided.

Variants: As we noted, two variants. One with 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and the other one has 3GB RAM + 32GB storage.

Screen: 5.5-inch with FullHD aka 1080p display and Gorilla Glass 3.

Rear camera: 16-megapixel shooter with dual-tone flash. Also F2.0 wide lens.

Special features
The Moto G4 Plus has several special features:

-- The camera features and performance is improved significantly compared to the earlier Moto G. It supports laser focus and PDAF (phase detect auto focus) to make the camera speedy.

-- The Moto G4 Plus has a fingerprint scanner on the front.

-- The new Moto G, similar to previous Moto devices, runs an almost untouched version of Android. This means no third-party apps, no exotic user interface or animations. Just pure Android.

-- The phone comes with Moto Display, which gives a preview of the notifications when the screen is locked. It senses the movement, for example while you are taking it out of pocket, and gives the user a quick glance at the screen.


How to buy it: The Moto G4 Plus is going to be sold exclusively on Amazon India. At least for now.

India price: The two variants of the Moto G4 Plus have been priced at Rs 13,499 and Rs 14,999.
