In a bizarre incident in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district, a Dalit groom rode a horse donning a helmet with police protection to his wedding.

The groom said that upper caste Hindus had banned him from riding a horse as he is Dalit. He wore a helmet because as people threw stones at him and the wedding procession.

The incident happened in Negrun village in Ratlam district.
