Multi Screen Media’s (MSM) football dedicated channel Sony Kix has picked up the rights to two key football properties Serie A and FA Cup for a period of three years from 2015-16 to the 2017-18 season. The broadcaster bagged the rights following an agreement with MP & Silva, the rights holder for the FA Cup and Serie A in the Indian subcontinent. Sony Kix will get to telecast over 300 hours of live football action from the two premier competitions. Both the football properties were earlier held by Star Sports. Incidentally, the FA Cup rights were earlier held by MSM’s English movie channel Sony Pix before it was snapped up by Star Sports. The property later began airing on MSM’s sports channel Sony Six.
