Five major MSOs jointly launch consumer campaign to spur digitisation
To facilitate and create momentum for digitisation and ensure timely implementation of the government mandate for full digitisation, five major MSOs have come together under the aegis of MSO Alliance to offer consumers a standard, subsidised price for converting from analog to digital by installing digital set-top boxes in their homes.
Consumers in Delhi and Mumbai can go digital for a one-time, promotional charge of Rs 799 which is applicable till September 30, 2012. This promotional, subsidised rate is aimed at easing the burden of digitisation on consumers and to encourage them to install set-top boxes well before the October 31 deadline. Members of the alliance, namely, WWIL (Siti Cable), InCablenet, Digicable, Hathway and DEN Networks, have released a joint advertisement in leading dailies informing consumers about the offer.
