Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, or MTNL has introduced what it calls the nation’s first SMS-based Missed call alert facility for subscribers to their popular landline services in the Mumbai telecom circle. The city's largest broadband and landline phone service provider will be offering their Missed call alert facility for free till 14th May, 2012, and the monthly subscription charges for this service, thereafter will be Rs.20/month. Existing subscribers to MTNL's Missed Call Alert service will be able to enjoy this service for free. Subscribers should note here that the service is not a default one, and will have to be subscribed to, to avail it. MTNL is now the only provider in the city
