MTS which recently discontinued its investments in the voice business to become a data-only operator until the spectrum auction commences in the country, has reduced (pdf) its tariff for MTS MBlaze customers in the Delhi NCR Circle, with similar reductions expected in other circles soon.
The new MTS plans starts at Rs 96 for 1GB free data usage and a validity period of 1 day, going up Rs 248 for 1GB free data usage and a validity period of 30 days, Rs 798 for 6GB free data usage and a validity period of 30 days and Rs 998 for 6GB free data usage and a validity period of 90 days. It also introduced a new Rs 698 plan which will offer 4GB free data usage with a validity period of 60 days.
As an aside, the company also claimed that it now has 0.3 million data customers in Delhi-NCR region and 16 million across the country.
