Sunil Mittal’s Airtel will provide Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio Infocomm data capacity on its i2i submarine cable.

Recently, Reliance Jio Infocomm has signed an agreement with Reliance Communications for network sharing

As per an indefeasible right to use (IRU) agreement with Bharti Airtel, India’s #1 telecom operator, Reliance Jio will utilize a dedicated fiber pair on i2i that connects India to Singapore.

The high speed link will enable Reliance Jio, the 4G venture promoted by billionaire Mukesh Ambani, to extend its network and service reach to customers across Asia Pacific region.

The cable consists of eight fiber pairs using DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing), capable of supporting multiple terabits of capacity per fiber pair. Its landing points are at Chennai in India and Tuas in Singapore.
