My first HD connection is d2h after going through all the packages of dths. For rs.480 south platinum i get most of the channels whereas in dish it goes ard rs.550(dealer was insisting just rs.50 diff and would get 3 months free in dish)
This is the USB recorder HD stb and dealer told me no monthly recording charge but i found in web that rs.30 is being charged.
The remote quality is at sub par and made of cheap plastics(inc. buttons)
i have seen rdtv, airtel and sun direct and i can assure you that contrast boosting along with pink tint are present in SD channels which leads to loss of details in pictures.
EPG navigation in d2h is most difficult compared to others. it takes time to load mini EPG and no sub genre though mosaic is present which is usefull for current programs.i cant watch and navigate EPG simultaneously.
