In last 2 months, there have been multiple followups among TRAI, Airtel and myself on the issue of new HBO channels making available in ALL ROUND and MAGNUM HD Packs without any extra charges...
So it proves that TRAI doesn't sleep all the time, but still it seems Airtel has tried to make fool of TRAI. But I am not giving up, whatever the end result is...
Here is the chain of all the emails....

Dear Sir,
I would like to highlight that despite multiple complaints and writings to Airtel DTH, they haven't been able to resolve the matter yet, to be honest.
What I mentioned is...as per their earlier agreement and promise to millions of ADTV customers, who are subscribed to 'ALL ROUND' and 'MAGNUM HD' packs, should automatically get HBO HITS and HBO DEFINED channels in their packages "without paying any extra subscription charges".
However Airtel has declined to offer these channels in above mentioned packages to the customers, who are already paying a high subscription price (around Rs. 600 per month) to Airtel because Airtel sold these costly packages by showing promise that any newly launched channel will automatically added to these packages without any extra subscription charges. However Airtel has played cheap tactics to earn extra revenue by asking customers of above packs to pay extra Rs. 49 for 2 new channels HBO Hits and HBO Defined.
Hope you understand my concern. Please note, this is not a complaint meant for me only. There are many customers who have felt betrayed due to this matter I mentioned above.
Hence I request TRAI to ask Airtel to remain honest with their customers and allow subscription of HBO Hits and HBO Defined without any extra charges, who are subscribed to ALL ROUND and MAGNUM HD packs.
Looking forward to a quick resolution to my concern.
Warm Regards,
*******

Subject: Customer Id: 300******* :: ADTV Cheap Tactics- HBO Hits & HBO Defined not available in All Round and Magnum packs! Why?
Dear Manager,
My customer id: 300*******
First of all, I would like to mention that I am consistently becoming unsatisfied and impatient with the services and cheap tactics of Airtel Digital TV.
I would like to mention that I am subscribed to 'ALL ROUND PACK' since its inception. And I have been paying Rs. 562 monthly for the subscription.
I had been promised that any new channel introduced in 'All Round Pack' will be provided FREE of cost, without any increase in package price. The same is the condition for all the Magnum HD packs.
But I am highly disappointed to realize that HBO Hits and HBO Defined channels are unsubscribed in my All Round package as well as in Magnum HD pack for other customers; which should have been automatically added in 'All Round Pack' and 'Magnum HD' packs, without any extra cost.
It seems ADTV is trying to play smart and betraying its customer with its cheap tactics.
I request you to kindly follow your own terms and conditions and enable the subscription of above mentioned HBO channels in All Round Pack and Magnum HD Pack without any extra cost.
Please note your competitor Videocon D2H is providing 22 HD channels and much more SD channels than ADTV at much lower costs and just like millions of ADTV customers, I am also highly inclined to switch towards D2H.
I request ADTV to
- Enable the subscription for new channels without any extra cost in All Round and Magnum HD packs. This should happen with immediate effect by enabling the subscription for newly introduced HBO channels in All Round and Magnum packs without any extra charge.
Please be assured I will not recharge further and instead move to D2H; if ADTV doesn't do what it promises to its customers.
Hope you understand my concern.
Warm Regards,
