Breaking News News18 channel more regional channel launching soon

Targeted at 15+ male audiences, News18 India’s focus will be hardcore national news since the network has regional news channels to cater to hyper-local issues.

The key markets for the channel are Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab.

The company has been increasing distribution footprint of the channel in the last one year, particularly after the rollout of BARC’s rural data.

News18 India would also hike its ad rates once the viewership numbers come in following the rebranding, Kaul stated.

The new branding of the channel would be promoted heavily through multi-media marketing campaign starting 10 November.

It's already there IBN Lokmat. Just the name change is due which will happen with change in name and logo of Etv channels.

Previously ETV MARATHI changed to Colours marathi & now Ibn lokmat to News 18 marathi?
Why this injustice?
We have only 12 to 13 marathi channels and instead of launching new, existing ones getting renamed

Whereas other regional customers getting more & more channels separately

Dude Etv network was acquired by Mukesh Ambani who also acquired Viacom and Network 18.
So the group decided to name all GEC channels as Colors, and hence renamed Etv Marathi to Colors Marathi (same was done with Etv Gujrati, etv kannada, etv Bangla, etv odiya all were renamed ad colors)

Now coming to Marathi news channel. IBN and Lokmat came together to launch a News channel in Marathi and named it IBN Marathi.
Etv had applied for licence for Marathi channel but it was acquired by Network 18 and same group having 2 channels in same gener made no sense. Now as all channels are being brought under one brand all Etv, Etv news & IBN channels are coming under the brand name of "News 18"

IBN Lokmat channel basically from Lokmat brand
& Etv brand was different
They combined both
& Etv marathi lost while replaced with colors marathi
& same is being done with Ibn lokmat
What the hell will happen if India cast sells their rights on ibn lokmat to Lokmat brand?
So they can run Lokmat news channel separately.

& we can get News 18 marathi separately.
But there is no such desire about such marathi channels
