For independent TV Consumers, all channels are free for 1 year.
How it is going to impact to Consumers?
Do we need to subscribe for channels again?

As per TRAI new tariff order, since channels are broadcasters product hence their mrp will be decided by broadcaster only.
Cable and dth operators will now act like distributors and they need to have DRP which cannot be greater than MRP of channels or bouquet.
So now dth operators will all behave same way. We can choose the one who has better technology and service.
Entry cost is also fixed so taking new connection will also be same from all operators.
In addition to that there are many consumer related rights which has been defined.
Any signal related complaints needs to be resolved within 24 Hrs and other complaints needs to be resolved in maximum 7 days.
Even if we leave the operator they are bound to return our balance within 7 days.
