The launch was streamed to its fans on a virtual reality platform with the help of a headgear called ‘LOOP’ powered by ANT for an immersive 3D experience of a space launch.

Highlights
Apart from being available invite-free, the other highlights include only changes and upgrades seen from the last year’s 2. Qualcomm Snapdragon’s latest, 6GB RAM, Dash Charge (which is not Quick Charge), Camera (16M & 8M), NFC, Optic AMOLED display still offering Full HD and some aesthetic improvements like metal unibody.

Mention worthy downgrade is the size of the battery has been reduced from 3300mAh to 3000mAh. Expandable memory option and water resistance is still not seen in the current product.

OnePlus 3 on factory setting runs on Android’s Marshmallow 6.0.1 which is tweaked and enhanced by OnePlus calling it OxygenOS 3 (also seen on OnePlus 2). OxygenOS offers borrows a few features from other operating systems like Cyanogen, iOS, Moto etc., while keeping it close to the vanilla experience.

This phone is currently available in India as an Amazon India exclusive at Rs. 27,999/- for a Graphite, 64GB, 6GB RAM version.

It is available for $399, EUR 399 and GBP 309 in the U.S., Europe and the U.K. respectively and will be available from oneplus.net

OnePlus 3 has already been reviewed by the tams at Android Authority, The Verge, Android Central, Gadgets 360 and others.

Link on Amazon.in is active for a purchase of the above mentioned item. OnePlus is still offering OnePlus One, Two and X.

It will be interesting to see how 2016 will help build this 3 year old company which ambitiously builds high-spec phones for a comparatively lower price than offered by iPhones, Samsung Galaxy and HTC. Although the company now is facing serious competition from manufacturers like Xiaomi, Huawei, Le Eco and Lenovo.

But OnePlus believes in building a community and since the launch of OnePlus One the community of OnePlus has steadily, if not exponentially, grown bigger and wider.

OnePlus also recently launched Exclusive Care Centers in India catering to the growing demand for support and tested its Marshmallow Beta Build for 2 with the users of Community before releasing a stable version.

Now with OnePlus 3 launched it would be interesting to find out how this phone will impact the company and its competition.

OnePlus 3 does not support CDMA networks, and works only on GSM networks, so make sure you check with your service provider regarding the compatibility.

3 in the US supports AT&T and T-Mobile, additionally supporting VoLTE on T-Mobile. Not sure if this means that VoLTE would also work with the upcoming Reliance JIO network in India.

Dont you feel its pricey considering chinese?

Posted using Entertainment Forum mobile app

Many top end smartphone makers assemble or manufacture their phones in China, including Apple and LG, Samsung.
So it is hard to say which phones are actually Chinese.

OnePlus on its website calls it a "Global Technological" company and now it also has a manufacturing plant in India, so I don't know if it really qualifies to be a Chinese :p

OP also made claims that these phones are not to be treated as "cheap" given the pricing of the phone compared to its other flagships, they say the price is always the worth of the phone.
28k could be the worth of OP 3. :D

Apparently it is just the camera that has been told to be a bit mediocre.
Rest of its parts is what you see in most top end smartphones these days.
