Overhead cables that pose a threat to the lives of motorists and are also destroying the beauty of the city will soon be a thing of the past. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has struck a deal with cable TV operators, Internet Service Providers and telecom companies to lay underground common ducts on 170-km length of main roads in the city.
