Panasonic’s new DX TVs are promising to be quite exciting, and will partly rely on the company’s proprietary Panasonic Studio Master HCX+ chipset for the sake of outputting HDR display performance. Furthermore, we can also supposedly count on the powerful resources of the TVs internal processing engine combined with the Firefox OS smart TV platform to create a smooth and top-shelf content and visual experience for users.

The new Panasonic DX TVs come in several different ranges and include not only the above-mentioned HDR support but also an improved Firefox OS smart TV platform and THX certified sound along with “Ultra HD Premium” certification from the UHD Alliance.

There are also two HD TV series but it is a telling sign of the changing wins of TV manufacturer focus that the majority of the company’s 2016 TVs are now 4K ultra HD models.

All of the 4K DX TVs will offer HDR content through high dynamic range sources like Amazon Prime and Netflix and will also boast what is called “Hollywood Tuning” thanks to something called the Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory tie-up.

HDR support runs throughout the new DX ranges of TVs and thus the DX802, DX750 and DX700 all also support the new high dynamic range technology. However, each of these models offer consecutively lower motion processing rates and a few other changes in their core features.

Panasonic is also quite naturally recommending that buyers of these new TVs also get their hands on the company’s new DMP-UB900 4K UHD Blu-ray player, which will be an excellent complement to the TVs.
