Keeping up his combative stance on new Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Bill proposed by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance government, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is likely to protest with home buyers at Jantar Mantar in the national capital on Monday.
Earlier, he met organisations representing home-buyers at the Congress headquarters to discuss concerns regarding the Bill. Rahul called the bill anti-consumers as it allegedly dilutes penalties for late delivery of homes. The bill also allegedly does not safeguard against money being diverted from one project to another.
"Government, which has been working against farmers and tribals, is working against the middle class in the same manner," he had told reporters after meeting several NCR flat buyers.
