Anil Ambani today said that his telecom venture, Reliance Communications will collaborate with Mukesh Ambani’s 4G telecom business Reliance Jio even more in the months to come.
Both the companies have already signed two agreements, leasing RCom’s inter-city cable network and telecom towers to Jio.
"The deals will earn RCom Rs 14,000 crore through the lifetime,” Anil Ambani, the chairman of RCOm said, answering shareholder queries at the company’s annual general meeting.
Anil said that both the companies will collaborate and co-operate even more in the months and quarters to come, as Jio gets ready to launch its services. Jio is expected to launch its 4G services this year. It is also the comeback vehicle of Mukesh Ambani into the telecom business, and is also the only company to have pan-India licence for 4G services. The erstwhile Reliance Industries split in 2005, and Anil received its telecom business.
RCom has already commenced deliveries of fibred and towers to Reliance Jio, and they are expected to be completed in the current financial year.
