A 14-year-old minor girl committed suicide by jumping from fifth floor of her house, after her parents reportedly refused to give her Rs 750 for a picnic.
The incident has left the parents of the girl shattered as they had not expected the girl to take such an extreme step for such small thing. The girl was studying in the ninth standard of a convent school in Dombivli, which had organised the picnic.
The girl Radha (name changed), used to reside with her parents, one brother and one sister in Dombivli (East). Her father, who runs a Chinese food joint in Dombivli and usually came home late every day.
