The authorities of Trishul Air Basehere has given its nod to set up 14 mobile towers around its vicinity. Of the 14 towers, 13 will be of Reliance Jio Infocomm and one belonging to Bharti Airtel Ltd. In a letter to the district magistrate R V Singh, chief administrative officer of the airbase, Group Captain R Muthuvel, said a survey may be carried out to ascertain installation of mobile towers in the air base’s vicinity.
“A survey may be carried out by concerned departments to ascertain the installation of mobile towers with appropriate site clearance and permission,” Muthuvel wrote. He also stated that towers already set up without permission and site clearance should be demolished at the earliest for flight safety reasons.
