The Ringo app had been launched for local, STD calls in India to make calls to any landline or mobile. Ringo fixed the rate to a 19 p/min in partnership wth their service providers. Ringo announced that it had paused all domestic calling services and suspended them temporarily for the reason that local operators may have blocked the service without any notice. Ringo said that the service is fully legal and is compliant with rules of DoT a TRAI regulations.
Using the app, users could call any Mobile or landline and pay just 19p/min for a call. Also, the app does not need both parties to have the app installed on their Phones. However, International calls are still working and users can make international calls at very cheap rates.Currently users can make calls to USA, Bangladesh and UAE.
