Official Info
Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio Infocomm has signed an agreement with Videocon Telecom to share their 500 towers in UP (E), UP (W), Bihar and Jharkhand. The company has already signed similar agreements with Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications, Viom Networks, Ascend and BSNL.

Videocon also plans to roll out its 4G network this year and plans to deploy 6,000 towers within a year of the rollout. The service provider will also explore options of collaborating with Reliance Jio for network sharing, optical fiber network sharing and internet broadband services. This makes the scope of the agreement similar to RJio's tie-up with Reliance Communications.

Significantly, Videocon hardly has any subscribers in UP (E) and UP (W). According to the latest TRAI reports, the service provider does not have even a single subscriber in these circles.
