News Satellite equipment provider Newtec sets up customer care center in India

Satellite equipment provider Newtec, in association with its Bangalore-based partner NTA, has set up customer care center in India.

The center will address needs of Indian customers. “The new center is in line with the company’s expansion plans in India,” Sathish Amara, country manager – India and SAARC, Newtec, told TelecomLead.com.

The center in Bangalore will have manpower trained by Newtec.

Headquartered in Belgium, Newtec has regional offices as well as additional R&D centers located in Stamford, Conn. (U.S.), Singapore (Singapore), Beijing (China), Dubai (UAE), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Berlin (Germany) and France.

As part of its India expansion, Newtec launched a new modem portfolio for all speeds and applications to the Indian market and exhibited the Newtec M6100 Broadcast Modulator which comes with Carrier ID built in.

Recently, Newtec said the adoption of new Extensions to the DVB-S2 standard will translate into better efficiency, higher speed and improved service robustness. Its new technologies will form the basis for extensions to DVB-S2. These extensions have the potential for 15 percent to 37 percent improvements on top of the current standards.
