Subhash Chandra-promoted Siti Cable Network is all set to receive permanent multi-system operator (MSO) licence for digital addressable system (DAS) areas as the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has given it security clearance.

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) informed Siti Cable representative Vishwa Bandhu Sharma that the security clearance had been received from the MHA and the file was under submission.

Sharma was also apprised of the status of applications of Siti Cable-linked MSOs like Master Channel Community, Siri Digital Network, Krishna Teja Digital Cable Network, Siti Karnal Digital Media, Siti Jind Digital Media, Siti Bhatia Network, Siti Global and Siti Jai Maa Durgee.

When Sharma stated that these companies required provisional registrations, the MIB informed him that the MSO applicants would need to make a request to the ministry along with the requisite affidavit available on the ministry’s website.

GTPL Hathway’s Abhishek Masan and Cat Vision’s Neeraj Bhatnagar were told that the security clearance in respect of one of the directors was still awaited and the case would progress further on receipt of the same. Gentle Entertainment’s Avinash Pandey and Dehradun Digital’s Yogesh Nautiyal were informed that the security clearance from MHA was awaited. They were also informed that the original net worth certificate must be sent urgently.

Vivek Cable Services’ Vivek Shet, Signet Digital’s Mahendra Jadhav, RJ Vaghela Digital’s Paras Mehta, and DJ World Vision’s Raghuvirsinh Vaghela were informed that the security clearance from MHA was awaited.

In addition, the MSO applicants who attended the meeting were apprised of provisional registration being granted in the absence of the MHA’s security clearance.

They were asked to send a request along with the requisite affidavit available on the ministry’s website.

This was conveyed to them during the third Open House meeting that the MIB officials had with the MSO representatives on 22 June.

The MIB recently granted 25 new permanent MSO registrations, taking the total MSO count in the country to 194 as on 30 June.
