Marvel fans were devastated when word came out that Sony’s Spider-Man deal with Disney had fallen through. Everyone has come to love Tom Holland’s version of the web-slinger and there were a lot of clamors when word came out that Spider-Man would no longer be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Though there are some that are still holding on to the hope that Disney and Sony finally come to an agreement on Spider-Man, it seems like the talk between the two companies has to be put on hold because of Apple reportedly wanting to acquire Sony.
According to a report by Cosmic Book News, an investor analyst just recently claimed that Apple may be out for a major acquisition, and Sony has been listed as a potential candidate along with studios like A24, Lionsgate, Viacom/CBS, MGM, and Netflix.
