Rupert Murdoch is looking at an operating income (EBITDA) of $1 billion from his Indian media business, housed under Star India, by the end of 2020. The company has been expanding its footprints, both organically and inorganically, especially in sports and regional entertainment content in India. Speaking at a conference in Bali on Friday, 21st Century Fox co-COO James Murdoch said that sports business in India is a new pillar for the company and it is looking at the business from a long-term perspective. “And if we keep innovating and investing in putting more creative and innovative content on screen, Star India will become a $1 billion EBITDA business by the turn of the decade,” he said. Commenting on the India business, Murdoch added, “We love the India business. It has now evolved enormously from Hindi entertainment to regional language broadcasting and now we are a national platform.” At the helm of Star India is CEO Uday Shankar, who said that the company will continue to deliver regional content across both entertainment and sports segments, as per a Mint report.

Star is managed by billionaires.
When you see the history of top grossing movies worldwide, you will find 20th Century Fox has earned more than any movie company.
For ex- Avatar, Titanic etc.
