News Sukma ambush in which 7 policemen were killed a result of tactical blunder: Sources

After the Sukma encounter with Naxals on Saturday that left seven Special Task Force police personnel dead, an Additional Director General level officer is under the scanner for the ambush, said sources.

According to the sources, the operation was reportedly controlled by the ADG without keeping the local Superintendent of Police in the loop.

Sources also said that an anti-Naxal operation is usually led by at least one DSP level officer but on Saturday a Sub-Inspector was leading the police party and the team of 49 Special Task Force (STF) personnel were asked to move without any cover.

Govt is just watching the killing of policemen. They did nothing till now to curb or cure naxalism in the state.
