Taj Television (India) Pvt Ltd, the distribution arm of Subhash Chandra-promoted Zee Entertainment Enterprises LTd (ZEEL), charges 14 per cent commission fee from sister company Zee Media Corporation Ltd (ZMCL) for distributing its channels. ZMCL operates national and regional news and current affairs channels that include Zee News, Zee Business and Zee 24 Taas among others. Until mid-2011, the distribution of these channels was handled by Zee Turner Ltd, a subsidiary of ZEEL, and later by Media Pro Enterprises (following joint venture of Zee Turner and Star Den Media Services). However, when last year the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) amended the regulation, disallowing the bundling of channels of more than one broadcaster, the distribution bouquets dissolved and Taj Television, a subsidiary of ZEEL, became agent for ZMCL from 1 April 2014.
