Celebrating the spring fertility festival or the International Worker’s Day, Tamil general entertainment channels Zee Tamizh and Star Vijay have designed a special line-up of movies for its viewers.
Zee Tamizh has lined up two movies—the young love story ‘Ponmaalai Pozhudhu’ at 1 pm and the romantic thriller ‘Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu’ at 4 pm. ‘Ponmaalai Pozhudhu’ talks about teenage love and the need for parents to understand their adolescent children and guide them through these impressionable years. The film highlights the thin line that divides infatuation and love. ‘Ainth Ainthu Ainthu’ is a romantic thriller where Arvind wakes up from an accident with the memory of his dead girlfriend Liyana. But all the people near him state that such a girl did not even exist. What follows on is showed with lot of suspense, action and twists.
Even as Zee Tamizh looks to entertain with these two movies on 1 May, Vijay TV has planned a mix of shows and films to be aired on the channel. It will commence the day with ‘Jigarthanda First Look’ at 7:30 am, giving viewers a sneak preview of the upcoming film ‘Jigarthanda’ directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The show will be followed by ‘Kochadaiyan Special’ at 8 am, which will present interesting anecdotes from the superstar Rajnikanth’s film. At 8:30 am will be a show ‘Neeya Nana’ talking about a special topic of the day with the viewers. The channel will also celebrate actor Ajith’s birthday in a special show at 10 am called ‘Happy Birthday Thala’. It will bring to viewers a grand celebration of Ajith’s birthday by his fans, friends, colleagues and co-stars, also showcasing his journey in the tinsel town. Starring Ashok Selvan and Janani Iyer in the leading roles, murder mystery ‘Thegidi’ will be premiered on the channel at 11 am. At 2 in the afternoon, Vijay TV will air the romantic comedy ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’ which is directed by R.S. Prasanna, and has Prasanna and Lekha Washington in the lead roles. Yet another movie special show titled ‘Mundasupatti Special’ will be telecast at 4:30 pm. It will feature Vishnu and Nandita along with the cast and crew of the film.
