Yes. They can track it. Infact all broadcaster track it through watermarks.

It's not only curb piracy but provides viewership details too.

Many of us have got used to watching sports exclusively on HD.Dont think many will miss Neo channels.
Hope some other network gets the rights of French open and bundesliga when next available for renewal
