But how could TS make a particular lot of customers suffer due to change in polarity....I mean it should affect all those customers whose alignment is not done properly...

I think after getting some 20-30k complaints they are stopping and rolling back their activity. Once these are resolved they will try again.

Why is Tatasky giving false reports. What is meant by "upgrading the compression technology". Why tatasky is desparately trying to hide the fact that they moved to a new satellite and also hiding the fact that they are changing the polarity. If "upgrading the compression technology", how will this affect only certain customers. I think Tatasky is misleading. also, these newspaper reports are simply copying whatever Tatasky is giving to them instead of analysing.

Because not everyone out there understand satellite and technical things.So, they are using the simplest possible words to explain their users.

They're using technical failures as marketing stint, seems like they're quite happy to give trouble to their subscribers so that TS remains in headlines and people only talks about a great free faukat marketing stunt which is working quite well for TS over the years

I might use this gimmick after 30 - 40 years if I own MSO, DTH or Channel and then hire PR Agency to start trending negativity about my brand and then next day such articles to gain sympathy

Anger against the service provider by those who've missed out on cricket and football matches, news and daily soaps, has been spilling out on social networking websites. On the service provider's Facebook pages, angry customers have reacted with sarcasm and in some cases downright abuse.

Disruption in services have been reported from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Bhopal, Jaipur among others cities across the country. Problems for Tata Sky's customers are as varied at their locations. Some customers have reported a partial loss of channels, some say they are looking at completely blank screens. Regional channel packs have been lost on some television sets and some have lost High Definition (HD) channel packs. Top officials of the company say the disruptions are part of an upgrade.
