Even I have a TS Technicolor SD STB which was recently upgraded with a MPEG4 box as part of migration. Now, I have de-activated this secondary connection.

would my STB still get the software update?

ya, only connect to dish wire.

To change the channel no fast pls use prefix 0. for eg, if you want to move to channel # 100 pls type 0100, channel will move very fast, normally if you r trping 100 there will be a 3 -5 sec delay. please explore, thanks
