The Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed multi-system operator (MSO) Digicable to pay Rs 26 lakh (Rs 2.6 million) dues for August within a week from 4 September. Failing this, Sun Distribution Services, the distribution arm of Sun TV Network, will be free to disconnect the supply of signals. The Rs 26 lakh includes monthly instalment of Rs 19 lakh (Rs 1.9 million) and the monthly licence fees of Rs 7 lakh. The tribunal, however, made it clear that as and when the MSO clears the dues and makes up-to-date payment of the monthly instalments as well as the monthly licence fee in line with the order passed on 6 May 2015, the distributor will resume the supply of its signals to the respondent.
