The Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed DEN Networks not to disconnect any of the petitioners’ channels in digital addressable system (DAS) and non-DAS areas without issuing notices under the interconnect regulations.
IndiaCast UTV had moved the TDSAT, alleging that DEN has illegally switched off some of its channels in DAS and non-DAS areas without the issuing mandatory notice. The aggregator had also issued a disconnection notice against the MSO in January for non-signing of agreement. The tribunal has directed DEN to immediately resume transmission of channels that have been disconnected without prior notice.
