Some terrorists on Wednesday morning targeted a BSF convoy on Jammu-Srinagar highway in Narsoo area of Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, killing at least two BSF personnel and injuring at least eight others.

Reports said that a terrorist was also killed in the exchange of fire.

Rocky, 25, and constable Shubenbdu Rai, who was driving of the bus, were killed in the ambush on the convoy on Jammu-Srinagar national highway. While one of the attackers, Mohammed Naved Yakub, was captured alive -- in a first since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, his accomplice was gunned down.

“Showing extreme courage, constable Rocky did not allow one of the militants who was carrying a grenade to enter the bus. The militant injured Rocky. He fired back and killed the terrorist. The grenade exploded outside the bus," Rakesh Sharma, BSF IG (Jammu frontier), told reporters on Thursday at the BSF headquarters in Jammu after the wreath-laying ceremony for the martyrs.
