NEW DELHI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has issued a notice to Anil Ambani's Reliance Communications (RCom) and Reliance Telecom to refund the unused balance of RCom's prepaid customers and security deposit of the post paid subscribers by January 31.
The telecom regulator's direction is towards the benefit of Rcom pre paid subscribers who after the discontinuation of RCom's 2G GSM and CDMA voice services did not or were unable to port out to other networks.
"All UPCs expiring on December 31, 2017, valid till 23:59:59 hours of January 31, 2018, in the interest of the company’s subscribers," TRAI had said on January 1, 2018.
