I think 'Sony Six' will be re-branded as 'Sony ESPN2' sooner than later, as it will help Sony to show in-house programmes from ESPN US or BT Sport ESPN

Also it might give homogeneity and would help them to name their 3rd sports channel as 'Sony ESPN 3' once they launch

May be live games ; it happened with Copa America last time ; but schedule did conflicted with CPL & NBA in the early morning..
But Euro 2016 would be on late-night or mid-night , so no reason to keep a channel idle

They should have done it with launch of Sony ESPN. But I still think they will air matches on Sony SIX, in case of two matches at the same time. Because both are of Sony network and rights are sold to networks, and that network can air it on as many of its channels. Like Fifa World Cup on Sony SIX and also on Sony Aath.
