But I think it is something to do with s/w.....if so then Dishtv can update the s/w to remove this glitch.
Because without standby mode support, STB would have to be kept on.....

even other ops tell the users to keep either in standby or on.
But the fact is dish should enable the recording on standby so that our EB bill can be saved.

I think dish never told user to put STB on Stand By.

But you're right about Stand By concept.
