Videocon Telecommunications is all set to launch 4G in India by the end of the year, says Chief Executive Officer and Director of the company, Arvind Bali.
Bali was speaking at 4G World India, a two-day conference that has brought all the 4G players on a common platform.
Though Videocon had put its 4G rollout plans on hold for some time, the company is now in a position to provide the first 4G experience to its customers by the end of current calendar year.
Speaking to Light Reading India on the sidelines of 4G World India event, Arvind Bali said the country required concrete efforts to make 4G a success; else it could take a lot more time for the technology to achieve any significant growth. Bali said that the company was ready for a 4G service launch, but there was no return on investment (RoI) currently to be gained from a rollout of the technology.
