Vodafone Vodafone unveils new VAS " Health Service "

Vodafone India, one of India's leading telecommunications service providers has introduced a new VAS service called Ask a Doctor - Health@5.

The operator claims that the service is a first ever WAP health portal in India.

Vodafone subscribers can avail this new service for Ra 5 per day. To activate the service, customers can SMS HC5 from their number and send it to 111 or 144.

The service is on a daily auto renewal mode, although, customers can unsubscribe for the service, by sending SMS CAN HC5 to 111 or 144.

Vodafone said that a panel of medical professionals will get back to the subscriber with the answer within 24 hours.

The new service enables Vodafone subscribers to ask health related questions and browse through information on disease management, myths, trivia, general remedies, latest updates, diet and fitness information.

Questions asked by a subscriber will be archived under "My Questions" section for any future reference. & can also access questions posted by other users.

The service spans five different sections, including Everyday health, Did You Know, a storehouse of trivia, Home Remedies and Diet & Fitness Management.

Everyday health provides detailed articles on interesting health topics such as diseases, myths, remedies etc.

Medical Diaries houses interesting medical case studies and offers interesting experiences of medical cases, whereas "˜Diet & Fitness Management' offers simple ways of managing a healthy lifestyle.

A few months back, Vodafone India announced the launch of its Bada Bonus Card - Rs 197 for its pre-paid customers in Andhra Pradesh.
