Why to send document on whatsapp, instead we can use email apps.

I doubt this too. I thought It would be fine to send voice/photos/videos. for other types of documents, it doesn't make any sense.

WhatsApp recent updates support documents to be sent as a PDF file.

Only pdf is not enough. They should allow doc and other files too.
